My kiddos really liked it。 I also liked it because it is a quick read for bedtime。

Rosalind Andrews,
Loved the pictures。 Wanted to eat it。
Lil Old Bookworm,
Oh I love this book。 When I read it to my daughter, it makes me cry, lol。 Plus the illustrations are so cute, the rhymes are short and sweet, and the message of unconditional love from a parent to a child is lovely。
Samantha Harris,
Really cute, but probably designed for an older kid crowd, who can better participate in the call-and-answer format
Janna,
Nice art and very sweet
Ayse_,

Stepheny,
Ryder selected this book himself off his ever-growing book shelf。 And what a lovely read it is。 I particularly loved the illustrations in this one and more importantly, so did Ryder。 But what I enjoyed the most is the reassurance it gives a small child that no matter how dark and dreary things may seem, Mommy or Daddy(or both) will be your sunshine。 That even though you're having a bad day, someone will be there to help you through。A beautiful message that tells a child from a young age that (s) Ryder selected this book himself off his ever-growing book shelf。 And what a lovely read it is。 I particularly loved the illustrations in this one and more importantly, so did Ryder。 But what I enjoyed the most is the reassurance it gives a small child that no matter how dark and dreary things may seem, Mommy or Daddy(or both) will be your sunshine。 That even though you're having a bad day, someone will be there to help you through。A beautiful message that tells a child from a young age that (s)he is not alone and that there will be sunshine, no matter how dark those clouds coming through appear to be。 Ryder was particularly fond of the mouse MC in this one。 He kept turning the page back to look at one of the up-close illustrations of the mouse。 He'd point and try his best to say what Mommy was saying。 What I find most endearing is that Ryder, in his jabbering, pointing and insistence that we turn back to that OTHER page, is what makes my day so much brighter。 He is in fact, MY sunshine, though the book indicates that the parent/caregiver is the sunshine for the child。 What a truly beautiful message for both parents and child。 。。。more
Brett,
Lots of Kids books gonna be on this feed in the next few years since I'm Daddin' hard so be warned。Man these call and response books about loving your kid are emotionally exhausting。 I've cried more in the month or two leading up to my daughter's birth and the month and half we're at now since, than I have in the last 20 years of my life。 It's great stuff for sure, but I don't know how much baby gets out of it when I'm bawling my eyes out。 Baby mouse and mama mouse probably slay me。 Lots of Kids books gonna be on this feed in the next few years since I'm Daddin' hard so be warned。Man these call and response books about loving your kid are emotionally exhausting。 I've cried more in the month or two leading up to my daughter's birth and the month and half we're at now since, than I have in the last 20 years of my life。 It's great stuff for sure, but I don't know how much baby gets out of it when I'm bawling my eyes out。 Baby mouse and mama mouse probably slay me。 。。。more

Kathryn (Dragon Bite Books),
Review first published on my blog, Nine Pages。Using anthropomorphic mice as protagonists, this board book reinforces a parent’s perpetual love for her child。 The illustrations are generally nostalgically vintage and cutesy, but there was something about smiling sun that I found more disturbing than cute。 I think the vintage quality of the illustrations will help this one get a little traction in this difficult genre。 Review first published on my blog, Nine Pages。Using anthropomorphic mice as protagonists, this board book reinforces a parent’s perpetual love for her child。 The illustrations are generally nostalgically vintage and cutesy, but there was something about smiling sun that I found more disturbing than cute。 I think the vintage quality of the illustrations will help this one get a little traction in this difficult genre。 。。。more
